A note from the house

Come in.
The kettle is on.

Our honey-stone village house keeps things pleasantly simple: generous beds, thoughtful plates, garden air and a fireside chair waiting when you return.

Supper, as the light leaves the garden.

Chef has put the best of the market on tonight’s short menu: Winchcombe trout, broad beans with mint, and a warm apricot tart sent out with clotted cream.

There is no need to rush. Drinks begin by the courtyard doors, and the table is yours for the evening.

One more glass outside?

Blankets are folded by the French doors. Ask us for the bottle you liked at dinner and we shall bring it out with two clean glasses.

another room after dark.

Our intimate in-house Casino begins beyond the snug: quietly hosted tables, a stone-walled room and a nightcap close at hand.
